We remain active and enthusiastic about the progress currently being made. As of July, 2010, our sarcoma program at Northwestern completed four clinical trials; both phase II and phase III and have six clinical trials currently in development which will open in one to three months and are currently accruing patients on one active trial." In addition, Dr. Agulnik had the opportunity to present the results of a study on the use of bevacizumab (Avastin) as a treatment. The Northwestern social workers continue to provide assistance to patients, but unfortunately, a supportive care project they hoped to have in place by now is unable to proceed due to limitations in funding.
